Feb 12, 2007 I have already been using Accutane to get a month now and am really experiencing and enjoying the insufficient oil on my small face and scalp. Once I stop using Accutane (not in the near future, but through the future reference), will my normal oil production begin again, or does Accutane have a lasting effect that prevents your pores from producing a whole lot oil Brett
Reply #2 Feb 28, 2007 I will only speak personally, but it is my experience: I've been on two full courses with Accutane, and settled 100% while you're on the drug. About 12 months (or a little less) as soon as the firstcourse, I started to have some acne in this little face again - by no means badly as before the first round. In my case, the solution is "yes" - your epidermis Will quickly produce oil again, perhapsnot as much as before Accutane. It's logic if you agree of it - along side it effects (chappedlips, etc) go away when you finally quit taking Accutane, which means you also start to produce oil again My last full course is at 2003 - this winter I began to get mildacne on my own back and chest again, and i am currtently treating myself with low-dose Accutane purcased online. This time (after two full courses) the acne in this little chest and back replied to the Accutane within just one week. David

Accutane contains the small prospects for developing serious uncomfortable side effects and folks really should be monitored by a derm. while taking it. In addition to it truly is illegal. joe

I often tried tane 8 years ago, and I just lately was identified as having Ulcerative colitis.... However, I will be starting tane again soon, because my acne never made a comeback, these days I've got hyper-keratization, the industry pain inside my ass..... Jonathan

As an example, I took my last tane pill yesterday and while I had been on tane I never experienced dry flaky skin just mild chapped lips. I'm wondering basically might get the flaky dried-out skin after use. Thanks guy:) Jonathan

Reply #16 Aug 15, 2007 i'dpretty mild acne ive been on accutane for just two . 5 months my face has improved MAJORLYY in the beginning for around two weeks it did get alot worse but not to bad.. The tutor said my face would get HORRIFICLY dry, nonetheless it wasnt to bad.. But, my lips are horribly chapped and zilch generally seems to help(its a smaller price to pay for a clear face..) Accutane really continues to be my miracle drug so it helps alot!! joan

Reply #18 Aug 17,2007 I had been pretty freaked out when I stopped my first treatment, however it is been 8 weeks now off accutane, and my face still feels fine. No breakouts, and barely any oil. L Katherine
